ServiceNation is building a team of hard-working individuals who are passionate about service and improving our society. We envision an America in which citizens come together to solve some of our most challenging problems through service. In September, leaders from across the country will gather in New York for the ServiceNation Summit and two weeks later, in a thousand events in communities across the country, Americans will call on our leaders to expand service opportunities through a new National Service Act. We are looking for people to support this intensive grasstops and grassroots effort.
Campaign Coordinators will have two primary areas of foci: the Summit and Day of Action.
ServiceNation Campaign Coordinators will play a key role in final planning for the Presidential Forum and ServiceNation Summit September 11 and 12. They will actively participate in all components of the event planning, including communication with participants, speakers, and VIPs, logistical planning and support, outreach, branding, and media.
ServiceNation Campaign Coordinators will also work with the National Outreach and Mobilization team to coordinate the national grassroots campaign. They will mobilize communities, outreach to potential event organizers, and build community networks. In addition, they will support event organizers across the country and respond to requests from the field.
Campaign Coordinators should have a strong work ethic and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Campaign Coordinators should have strong oral and written communication, presentation, and problem solving skills. They must be well organized and have a command of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Finally, Campaign Coordinators should have a background or interest in service, issue advocacy, community organizing, or politics and be excited to learn from opportunities and constructive feedback.
This two month opportunity runs from August 4 through October 3.
Interested candidates should send a resume explaining your qualifications and interest in the position to Susannah Cowden at scowden@bethechangeinc.org. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
