Service-Learning Training Conference for Jewish and Faith-based Educators
  By Emily Antflick

PANIM: The Institute for Jewish Leadership and Values is proud to be hosting the second annual National Educator’s Institute for Jewish Service-Learning. The Educators’ Institute is an intensive five-day training program for Jewish educators interested in integrating service-learning into their classroom or informal education setting.

Past participants have raved:

"Thank you for inviting me to participate in the wonderful National Educators’ Institute. So much was excellent. It was a pleasure meeting such a diverse and talented group of participants and presenters. I look forward to staying involved!" --Dr. Lawrence Bailis, Brandeis University’s Heller School for Social Policy and Management

“The Institute was an amazing conference - extremely organized, useful, and overflowing with ideas and resources.” --Deborah Oleshansky, Knoxville, TN

“I went to so many extremely interesting sessions, all of which provided a good collage of the quickly growing and changing world of Jewish service-learning.” --Rebecca Serlin, Northampton, MA

This year participants can choose from two amazing sessions. One will take place at the University of Maryland (June 22-26, 2008) and the other will be a track on this year’s CAJE conference at the University of Vermont (August 10-14, 2008).
