The Career Education Program offers skills assessment, job training, job referrals, life and job skills development, and other services to help the employed and unemployed find and retain jobs. Volunteers lead job training workshops, provide job shadowing opportunities for clients, carry out assessments of clients' needs, and perform computer entry and other administrative work if needed. Experience in the workforce, patience, and flexibility is a must; past experience in job training is preferred.
The program is open Monday through Friday, 9:00am-3:00pm.
Volunteer Orientation sessions are held on the first and third Thursdays of the month at 10:00am and 6:00pm. Please contact us to sign up if you are interested in volunteering.
