Building Futures Now is looking for after-school program assistants. 

Our program runs on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-5:30 and on Wednesdays from 1:30-4:30.  The program assistants would help teachers facilitate math, reading, writing and science activities with 4th and 5th graders.  Program assistants are also needed to help students with their homework and practice reading one-on-one.  Finally, if volunteers have a special area of interest we would welcome 4-5 week classes on different topics that were designed to engage elementary school students and expose them to new and different subject areas.  Examples could include space and astronomy, agriculture, photography, architecture, etc. 

If interested, we ask volunteers to commit to at least one day a week and at least one semester (September-December or January-June).

Volunteers must also complete fingerprinting and if driving students on field trips must submit DMV record and copy of insurance.
