The St. Ambrose Outreach Center's Meal Program serves a free hot lunch to 100-150 guests daily. Volunteers greet guests, prepare plates, serve food, wash dishes, and clean tables. Groups of up to six are welcome. Volunteers may also donate meals and/or food items (dessert, bread, casseroles, etc.) for the meal program. Bag lunches are also accepted. The minimum age for volunteers is 13 (if accompanied by a chaperone). Politeness and friendliness towards the clients is a must.
The meal program runs Monday-Friday, 10:00am-12:30pm.
Volunteer Orientation sessions are held on the first and third Thursdays of the month at 10:00am and 6:00pm. Please contact us to sign up if you are interested in volunteering.
